This multi-residential project is situated within a conservation area and adjacent to a listed building making it a very sensitive setting requiring very specific project consideration. The existing site consists of a single storey garage/storage facility. The proposal involves the complete demolition of the existing structure and proposes 12 residential units spanning three floors with communal amenity spaces at each level.
Above ground floor level, the building is set back from the rear adjacent listed building. Along the front façade, triangular bay windows are proposed to allow views up and down the street. On the third floor level, pitch dormers are proposed along the roofline to match adjacent properties. Materials have been proposed which match adjacent properties and the wider conservation area.
